The building inspection report on my semi-detached single-fronted Edwardian timber house with a 2003 extension was alarming. Unsure whether to sell my home of 37 years or make the house safe and sound, with minor improvements, to last the rest of my life, at a neighbour’s recommendation, I contacted iSolar Builders.

From the initial meeting to the end of the project, Ivo and Richard listened to what I wanted to achieve and to my ideas, concerns and priorities. They are straight talkers and problem solvers. Everyone in the iSolar team were solutions focused from start to finish.

In the planning stage and as the work progressed, iSolar explained and discussed processes, options, realistic expectations, staging of work and outcomes and provided timelines. Throughout the build, communication was clear and timely, e.g. deadlines for decisions/actions, supplying appliances, etc.

The works were staged so that I could live in part of the house while major works were happening in the rest of the house. This required good communication and flexibility. All the iSolar tradies and subbies were considerate and responsive as well as highly skilled, paying attention to details. The work atmosphere was collegial and respectful.

Ivo has an eye for detail and high expectations of himself, all his team and subcontractors.  My house feels strong and solid and comfortable as well as beautiful. I made the right decision.
